Since 2020, Studio Wayne McGregor’s unique RESET initiative has supported more than three hundred professional freelance dance artists BACK INTO ACTION at a time when they needed it most with tailored training programmes and health, wellbeing and professional development talks and workshops.

Feedback from participants:

I’m overwhelmingly grateful for the generosity of Wayne McGregor and all the incredible dancers and teachers. It’s been an absolute lifeline to have this time in the studio with such an inspiring group of amazing people. Nothing compares to the feeling of being in the studio, being pushed to your limits - I don’t know what I would have done without it!

RESET has meant for me that after months of feeling lost I regained a sense of purpose. It has been an overwhelming experience being a part of this community, where everyone came together for the same purpose and no judgement.

Taking part in RESET has been such a blessing. During such a difficult period for so many personally, emotionally and artistically, it has been such a privilege to be surrounded by such hardworking people. Learning from so many teachers and dancers on a regular basis has been extremely helpful in finding motivation and routine.

RESET is made possible with support from Arts Council England, The Garrick Charitable Trust and generous in kind contributions from Here East, Harlequin Floors, The Royal Ballet and Sadler's Wells.

We are thrilled that our company of dancers will be back in the studio in November to start work with Wayne on two exciting new creations for 2022. To prepare them for this and to welcome our new dancers they will be undertaking an intensive two week training programme.

We are pleased to be opening our company ballet and contemporary classes out to ten of our professional freelance network artists each week.
